The long awaited fourth Hunger Games book has arrived! The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is the prequel to the widely known series by Suzanne Collins. It has been on my TBR list for quite some time, and I can finally cross it off now. Background Information of the Book The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is the prequel of the Hunger Games. Author - Suzanne Collins Page Count - 528 Lexile Level - N/A My Thoughts on the Book Again, Suzanne Collins can captivate an audience. This book was hard to put down. She revealed more about the characters in every chapter. It was a great, in depth story. My Summary of the Book (don’t worry, there are no spoilers from this book) Coriolanus Snow has a lot riding on the tenth Hunger Games. He has been assigned to mentor the unpromising female tribute from District 12. If she can’t pull through and get out of the arena alive, his family may not be able to survive.
